Kean Songy- Co-Executive Producer
Co-Executive Producer Kean Songy is a long-time fan and supporter of AMP Trio. Retired from GE, Kean also enjoys flying, sailing, cooking, polo, and investing. Kean has an MBA and a degree in Finance, and has earned the professional designations of CFP, Six Sigma Green Belt, and CCIM.
Brad Kang- Guitarist
Brad Kang is an emerging guitarist based in Denton, Texas. As a recent graduate of The University of North Texas, he has played with the One O'Clock Lab Band and has shared the stage with the likes of Bobby McFerrin, Arturo Sandoval and Mike Clark.
Perrin Grace - Co-Leader - Bassist - Composer - Co-Executive Producer
Based in New York City, Perrin Grace is an internationally active bass player and has performed in Holland, S. Korea, Japan and Germany as well as fifteen North American States/Provinces. He has performed and/or recorded with
Remy Le Boeuf, Jean-Michel Pilc, Wayne Tucker, Pascal Le Boeuf, John Raymond, Tim Green, Quamon Fowler, Nolan Byrd, the MSM Big Band, Drew Zaremba, Adam Larson and Bart Platteau. Perrin is currently attending the Manhattan School of Music, studying with Jay Anderson and John Riley.
Nicholas Rothouse - Percussionist
Nicholas has had the privilege of performing with artist such as Robert "Sput" Searight, Mark Letteri, Chantae Cann, Manuel Valera, Arturo Sandoval, Doc Serverinsen, Lena Byrd, and Bobby McFerrin. In the Summer of 2014 he toured with the band Tito and Tarantula performing in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Bosnia, Serbia, and Kosovo. In the Summer of 2015 he recorded percussion with the UNT Latin Jazz, UNT Jazz Singers, and the 6 time Grammy nominated UNT 1:00 Lab Band. He is currently finishing up his last semester of undergrad at UNT.
Matt Young - Co-Leader - Drummer - Composer - Co-Exectuive Producer
Upon arrival at the University of North Texas, Matt was asked to join Grammy winning artist Bob Belden in the revival of the group Animation with Tim Hagans. In 2012, Animation released Transparent Heart on the UK label RareNoiseRecords, which was reviewed in many publications including New York Music Daily:

Nate Wood - Mastering

Grammy nominated Nate Wood is a drummer/multi-instrumentalist and mastering engineer based in New York City. Nate is a founding member of the Grammy nominated quintet Kneebody. Kneebody released their self titled debut album in 2005 on trumpeter Dave Douglas’s label Greenleaf Music. In 2007, Kneebody released “Low Electrical Worker” on Colortone Media. They completed an album of arrangements of Charles Ives compositions with singer Theo Bleckmann and released the recording “12 Songs of Charles Ives” which was nominated “Best Classical Crossover Album” Grammy Award (2009, Winter and Winter). Kneebody’s latest record “The Line” was released on Concord Records in 2013.
Nate has also performed or recorded with many notable artists including Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, Dave Grohl, Brian May and Roger Taylor (Queen), Chris Squire (Yes), Elliot Easton (The Cars), Chaka Khan, Wayne Krantz, Billy Childs, Tigran Hamasyan, Donny McCaslin, Sting and many others.
Nate was featured in Modern Drummer in March of 2014, and placed in the 2015 Modern Drummer reader’s poll among the top 5 drummers in his category.
Along with his work as a sideman, Nate has released 3 albums of his own material, where he performed, recorded and mixed everything himself. His newest album “Another Time” was released in July 2014.

Andy LaViolette - Director - Videographer - Producer
Andy LaViolette is a Producer/Director and has released several published works since 2006. He co-owns a production company called Mr. Magic Carpet Ride Productions with his wife, Christi LaViolette, who specializes in photography. Recent awards include the "Denton Doc Award" (Thin Line Film Festival 2011), "I AM DENTON" award for the City of Denton Visitor's Bureau, and worked as "Video Director" for the Grammy award-winning song, "Something" recorded by Snarky Puppy featuring Lalah Hathaway.

Tahira Clayton, currently based in Dallas, TX, is an up and coming jazz vocalist, band leader, and educator in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Tahira has performed in some of Dallas’s most prestigious venues, and has participated in master classes with countless musicians including Kurt Elling, members of the Singers Unlimited, John Clayton, and has performed with Bobby McFerrin.

Addison Frei - Co-Leader - Pianist - Composer - Co-Executive Producer
New York City-based pianist Addison Frei has toured with vocalist Janis Siegel and earned first prize in the Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition. His ASCAP award-winning compositions can be heard on his debut album, Intentions. Addison appears regularly at the Kitano and Cell Theatre in NYC and has been a guest artist at CCM, UCF, KU, WSU and more.
Ethan Dorsett - Assistant Audio Engineer
Ethan was born and raised in Fort Worth Texas. Came to Denton to study jazz and turned focus on production and engineering. Is a multi instrumentalist and songwriter.
Michael Bloom Media Relations - Publicist
Michael Bloom's career in the music business includes ten years at record labels such as GRP (he was the label's first Director of Publicity, and helped launch the careers of Diana Krall and Arturo Sandoval, among others), Gramavision, and Windham Hill/High Street.
Prior to his record label work Bloom was a radio newscaster and jazz DJ in Honolulu, San Francisco, and New York. During that time he also worked as a music journalist, contributing cover stories to Down Beat, Cadence, Japan's Swing Journal and Sweet Basil magazines, as well as writing liner notes for numerous albums.
Bloom's first client was Herbie Hancock. Since then he has worked with many notable artists including Wayne Shorter, Mike Stern, Jim Hall, John Scofield, Yellowjackets, Steve Smith, Jackie Ryan, Charlie Watts, Rockabilly/Country legend Wanda Jackson, ukulele innovator Jake Shimabukuro, Mike Keneally, Mickey Hart & Zakir Hussain's Global Drum Project, Les Nubiens, Eliades Ochoa (Buena Vista Social Club), and avant-classical cellist Joan Jeanrenaud.
Matt Blostein - Audio Editing - Mixing
Matt Blostein is a composer/producer/engineer based out of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Matt has mixed and mastered for jazz artists such as Perrin Grace, Kenny Shanker, Roland Barber, Alex Smith and many others. He has composed for over 30 TV shows on major networks like HBO, MTV, VH1, PBS, theme music for FoxNews and production for artists signed to Universal and EMI. Matt is a Manhattan School of Music grad and has performed at the Montreux and North Sea Jazz Festivals.
Drew Zaremba - Organist
Drew Zaremba is quickly earning a worldwide reputation as a passionate conductor, award-winning writer, and fiery multi-instrumentalist. As a writer, he has written and arranged pieces for Wycliffe Gordon, Chuck Findley, Eddie Gomez, Ingrid Jensen, Brad Leali, Erin Dickins, is published through Sierra Music. Drew was awarded 1st prize of $10,000 in the Sherman/Barsanti Inspiration Award at the UNT for his premier concert with his orchestra, the Unity Orchestra, which featured Eddie Gomez.
Olivia Brown - Visual Artist - Album Cover Design - Photographer
AMP Trio's first and only Lead Visual Artist/Photographer Olivia Brown is currently studying New Media at the University of North Texas.
She works as a fine artist and a free lance graphic designer and is the Co-Director of Voertman's Gallery. Olivia's goal is to help foster the arts community.
